Welcome

Thank you for being here

Thank you for taking the time to visit Dahlia Psychology.

I understand that choosing a psychologist is an important decision. You may be looking for someone who not only has the appropriate qualifications and experience, but someone you feel comfortable talking to and who will genuinely take the time to understand you.

My aim is to provide a warm, compassionate and collaborative space where you feel heard, understood and supported. Therapy is not about being judged or told what to do. It is about working together to make sense of your experiences and helping you move forward in a way that feels meaningful to you.

Introducing

Dr Samreen Bhaidani

Hello, I'm Dr Samreen Bhaidani, an HCPC Registered Chartered Counselling Psychologist.

For over sixteen years, I've had the privilege of supporting people through some of the most challenging periods of their lives. One thing I've learnt is that behind every difficulty is a person with their own unique story.

My role isn't to tell you who you are, but to work alongside you in understanding your experiences, recognising your strengths, and helping you move towards a more fulfilling and balanced life.

Philosophy

My Therapeutic Approach

Every story is different

No two people experience emotional difficulties in exactly the same way, so I resist working from a single template. Your history, your relationships and your circumstances shape how we work together.

Therapy is personalised

I draw on a range of evidence-based approaches and adapt them to you, rather than asking you to fit a fixed model. What we focus on, and how quickly, is shaped by what you need.

Understanding the whole person

We'll look beyond the presenting difficulty to the wider context of your life — your history, relationships and strengths — so that the support we build actually fits you.

Building lasting change

The aim is not a quick fix, but a steady, honest process that leaves you with a clearer understanding of yourself and tools that continue to serve you long after therapy ends.

The Process

Working Together

Beginning Therapy

We start with an initial consultation to understand what's brought you here, and to see whether we feel like a good fit to work together.

Exploration

Together we gently unpack the experiences and patterns behind what you're feeling, at a pace that feels safe for you.

Growth

New understanding and coping strategies begin to take root, and you start to notice things shifting in day-to-day life.

Meaningful Change

You leave with a clearer sense of yourself and lasting tools — carrying the work forward long after our sessions end.

Beyond the Practice

Outside the Therapy Room

Outside of clinical work, I value time with my family, staying active, and looking after my own wellbeing — I find it keeps me grounded and present for the people I work with. I'm equally committed to my own professional development and to research that keeps my practice current and evidence-based.

Taking the First Step

Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, and it's natural to feel unsure about where to begin. You don't need to have it all figured out — you just need to be willing to start the conversation. I'd be glad to arrange an initial consultation to see how we might work together.
