Culturally Sensitive Approach
My work adheres to a culturally sensitive approach, which is valuable in fostering respect, understanding, and inclusivity in diverse environments. I recognise and appreciate the differences in values, beliefs, customs, and communication styles across cultures.
I specialise in working with clients from South-Asian backgrounds where I work with clients who have experienced difficulties and issues linked to identity and meeting cultural pressures and expectations, enabling them to move towards a choice.
During my masters’ programme I researched barriers to mental health services that exist for people from minority ethnic groups and for my PhD I explored the experiences of British South-Asian Muslim's experiences of growing up in the UK.
